Facebook Comment Crashers

I just don’t get it!  I’m irritated. Making it worse, Goose phoned and he too, is irritated – NOT BEUNO PEOPLE.

Earlier today I told you how much fun it was receiving RSVP’s.  Although I am not an everyday “whats on your mind” Facebook sharer, I admit to being more active & posting status updates as of late – all relating to wedding details.  I post updates that I feel the majority of my Facebook Friends can relate to:  1st dress fitting, invitations are stamped, Thank you for my special weekend, etc….And every time I have posted these status updates, I have received lovely comments. That is, until today!

There are tons of Facebook status ‘over sharers’ and I know no one can stand it. I mean seriously, who gives a rats ass that you found a babysitter or that you found the perfect paint for your sons room (btw if you found the perfect paint share the color and where you got it, duh!) or that your sports team sucks! Oh, DO NOT POST COMPLAINTS, you don’t verbalize them for a reason so why share them via Facebook, no one likes complainers!?!?!?

In the wedding blogosphere Facebook is often frowned upon. I’ve never thought much of it; I never had a reason to, until today.  Brides talk about guests sharing pictures, guests receiving their STD’s and then posting a picture of them, asking guests not to post pictures on their Facebook page, etc…the list goes on.  IMO, the Facebook bridal chat is ridic - everyone has a right to post what they want, when they want, and why do said brides care so much?  So what, they posted a picture of you during the ceremony with your ugly crying face - it makes you feel that much better that your pro photog posts the same photo better quality?  Gimme a break!

Today I got it – I get why said brides go against Facebook – In todays “sharing whats on my mind” I typed “Receiving RSVP’s is so. much. fun.” hoping that fellow brides and b2b’s would concur and all would by lovely dovey honky dory down memory lane. Could have fooled me - - BM NYC’s twin sister commented “where the F is my invite!” Another invited guests little brother by 2 yrs, who is also engaged wrote, “I agree with NYC twin, where the F is my invite..”  These two comments made me very sad, mad, annoyed, and hurt!  Why couldn’t NYC twin take a trip down memory lane and remember what it was like for her?  Why couldn’t invited guests little brother also relate since his wedding isn’t far away?  Is it that necessary to be total Jerk-Offs?   Here is my response that I don’t have the cojones to post - - YOU TWO ARE NOT INVITED B/C YOU”RE JERK OFFS AND YOUR LAME COMMENTS PROVE IT!

I have learned a lesson - no more posting wedding related status updates.  But I want to know what you think of them?  Am I being silly?
