The last 2 days have left their marks!!!
1st - - Our preferred hotel decided to renege on their end of the contract, ‘huh-uh no way that is not allowed to happen.’ They’re a lovely hotel and because of their fantastic sales pitch we’re having our Rehearshal Dinner, Out Of Town Guest Reception, and Farewell Brunch ALL AT SAID HOTEL. Now, 8 months after the contract was signed they want to renege, Phat Chance Bastards.
We meet with them today at 5:30pm to iron out the details – I told Goosers he can do all the talking!
2nd - - I received our first floral contract – it was $1000 over the discussed budget. Yup. Did you just gasp for air – drop your jaw – I KNOW TOTALLY OUT OF, RIGHT? Why on earth discuss a budget if you're gonna go $1000 over it? Needless to say, I spent an hour and 30 minutes on the phone this morning with the florist. She had all lilies and orchids as well as additional flowers out of season in the contract – Now readers, I admitted that I didn’t know a thing about flowers that does NOT mean I don’t know a thing about making it work w/in said budget. Holy bejesus - - Anywhoo we’re now $54.53 over budget, that’s what I’m talkin’ about……
We are 2 months out from THE day, HOLD ON TO YOUR HATS BICTHES…
