Crash Diet

I have never struggled with weight. I am 5’ and have always worn between 0-2, XS-S in everything except jeans, which are a 25-26.  Yes, of course there are parts of me that I like and other parts I dislike.  For example: I despise all things strapless (hence the reason I am not wearing a strapless gown) because my clavicle bones don’t show making me feel like I am broad or manly, I know I am not.  And I am very self conscious of my face – it is round, round round round!  I don’t have strong jaw or cheek lines, this has always bothered me from the day I can remember.

Have a look - -

See, I am not a big person; I just have a very round face (thx Dad!)

Enter Crash Diet.  Working out 50 minutes 5 days a week and eating protein only - no carbs, no sugars, no soda.  We (Goose is doing it too, I need motivation help. Plus its much more fun doing it together, its like a competition, a friendly fun competition lol) started on Monday and hope to last through to our wedding week.  One of the first places I loose weight is in my face – hopefully this diet will make me feel a  bit better about the gabillions of pictures (yes I think people will take that many photos) from our wedding day that will be in our album, on Facebook, emailed to friends, etc…

Side note – example of breakfast…Eggs w/ Turkey Bacon.  Although this morning I added a 2 tablespoons of fat-free Feta and 2 cups of spinach. The rules say I can =)

PS – I can use Splenda too, phew!!

Have you done a Crash Diet?  How did it work for you?

Btw, I know this is not and ideal diet and I know there are several alternatives.  This is what we choose for ourselves and  what works for our lifestyle for the next 24 days (OMG TWENTY FOUR DAYS)!

  1. If you are doing 50+ mins of cardio per day, you might consider complex carbs. Heart rate training is your best bet! Eat more fruits, veggies, and complex carbs and keep your heart rate down--sounds weird but you body uses carbs and fat as energy sources when you are at a lower hr. Your body uses protien as energy when your hr is high (70% of your max).
