OK – OK – you wanna see our venue, I get it already…. In true girl fashion I’ll begin with a ‘tease’ and show you the venues that could have been….
Goose and I knew immediately that we wanted our venue to be in the city. Our first date was in the city – we dine out in the city – we run (almost all) errands in the city - and darn it we live in the city. We have built our home around this gorgeous Emerald City and we wanted our venue to represent the PCW city = me and Goose.
Without going into too much detail – we wanted a loft like venue. Where on earth where we going to find that in Seattle ? We had options, YAY…
1st Up – The white walls and 5000 sqr feet of Pravda Studios. This was too big – too white – too NYC. It was clear to us that while we wanted ‘loft like’ we wanted Seattle not NYC.

2nd Up – The original Rainier Brewery which is now home to The Engine Room at Georgetown Studios. They offer 25 ft ceilings, arch after arch, and beautiful windows. Too many arches which mean not everyone would be able to eat, dance, and mingle in one big open room.

3rd Up – The Georgetown Ballroom. Aw, I loved this space..it was wonderful, just lovely… Unfortunately, the washrooms were upstairs and that alone meant we wouldn’t be marrying and partying here…

What do you think of the venues so far? You like? You no like? You think we should have gone the Hotel route.....
Stay tuned for Part II - tomorrow ^__^
