Venue Part II - - The Reveal

Its cold (my floor heater is on) and rainy and I want to be curled up at home or at the theatre watching SATC2 - speaking of which, "Goose do you wanna see SATC2 with me this weekend?  What you do, YIPPEEE" - - Ok yeah right people - thats how the conversation plays out in my head...

Are you ready to see our venue, are ya - are ya????  I present to you, Sodo Park.  Its site description, "a repurposed century-old factory that features vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, and a distinctive warm fusion of modern and rustic accents running throughout."  My description, "a perfect PNW loft.  Urban from the outside and 'Green' on the inside. "

Without further ado in all its glory....Sodo Park.

Now lets go inside - - below are blank slate pictures of the floor and the bar area.

Now lets see it dressed up - - eeeeeeeek!

And with a full house - -

I hope you're looking forward to building new memories, meeting new friends and family, and sharing our special day.  A day that's guaranteed to be loaded with LOVE, LAUGHS, TEARS, and much more.....HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE ^__^

  2. OH MY!!! Hello there fellow B2B!! My name is Aimee' and I am a Detroit Sept 2011 bride that came across your blog from the wedding bee. Ironic, but I was just in your fine city not 2 weeks ago, for see I was the MOH for bestie who's wedding was at this exact location!!! It was breathtaking! We spent a whole week in your parts! And even rode the DUCKS! (best $25 dollar I've ever spent).
I have only read half your blog, but I can honestly say you have this reader HOOKED!
Thank you so much for your insight!

  4. mah,
Seattle is my home away from home. I try to visit BFF out there as much as possible, we are each other's other other half next to the hubs. With both of us getting married within a year of each other, I was only able to make it out twice this year. But after all this wedding stuff is through believe me I'll be out there every chance I get, or every vacation day work allow me.haha. I would love to live out there, but someone has to keep the streets of Detroit safe, so Hub2be is concreted here. But I would not blink an eye if it ever presented itself!

Wonderful does not even begin to describe that wedding! And no doubt yours is gonna to be just the same! Just the talks have me at the edge of my seat waiting for pictures!
(BTW the drink tree you are getting is going to be a HUGE hit. Everyone raved it about it for days after theirs.)

I do not have a blog :( I just endlessly search others for ideas. See, I am quite lost in the planning...scratch that, indecisive in the planning. I can't pick colors to save my life. Ah well, it will come to me one day. lol.

Happy Planning!!! Hope to hear from ya soon!
    Aimee'
