A decent number of blogs that I follow post the most gorgeous fanciest meals - Home cooked meals, too. Because I want to be just like those blogs, I'm gonna post our meals. I recognize ours aren't that gorgeous nor are they that fancy - they are home cooked though so EAT THAT FANCY FOOD BLOGS!!!
I mentioned earlier today the sun came out. Aaaawwww yes - it graced us with its presence after days, weeks, and months of raining - Summer has touched down in Seattle, THANK YOU HEAVENS!!!
So far we have had a couple of super delish meals that I wanted to share. They are lite with scrumptious flavor falve!!!
First up is my baked Salmon. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Tear out a pc of foil large enough to wrap two pcs of salmon. Place salmon in bowl. Pour in honey mustard and some Dijon (eye ball everything I don't do measurements well.) Then sprinkle fresh dill. After you have rubbed that all over the salmon place the salmon on foil. Put two lemon slices on each pcs of salmon. Wrap in foil and bake for 20 minutes. DO NOT OPEN TO CHECK. (bake rack is on 3rd shelf in oven) Serve with veggie - our choice Asparagus, we like stinky pee....
Now doesn't this look yummy!?!?!?
Tonight was the most amazing night, weather wise. Goose was feeling like the grill master so he popped open the BBQ and I popped out the Chicken Brats, baked beans, and potato salad. Talk about an All-American dinner. I never had brats going up, it just wasn't something my mom cooked. The best brat I had was off a street vendor in Toronto, and man there ain't nothing like a Street Meat Brat!!!!
To fancy up our Brats I sauteed some onions and mushrooms. I totally cheated on the potato salad, its from the salad bar at Metropolitan - I am not a fan of potatoes & Goose isn't a fan of yams - Potato Salad is our happy medium, haahaahaahaa Oh I forgot - - We also had baked beans thanks to Bush's vegetarian yumminess....
How are our meals looking to you? Would you like to come over one night for dinner?
What have you been enjoying this summer? We need to start on some corn, mmmmm

Both look so very yummy. Metropolitan ahhh I miss that store. PS - they always say Seattle summers are from July 4th to Labor Day and boy those two months are usually gorgeous! Thanks for the post and sharing your meals :-)
