YAY - - We did it and I couldn't be happier that it’s over!!!

MOH and I found our pace right out of the start and stuck with it… The weather was fantastic running weather – it was cool cloudy and overcast.  When running along the water and the bridge fresh breezes arrived with perfect timing.

Mile 7 knee pain started to kick in & we grabbed a Gu tube - BLACH was that disgusting, however it did indeed help. Thanks future cousin BGK for letting me in on that tip.... 

The entire run MOH and I stuck together – right through to the finish line. Here are some pictures of our finish =)

And then came an encouraging "great job we did it" pat...

 There you have it - - We have completed our first Half Marathon.  My body currently aches but you know what they say - - No Pain No Gain.....Who wants to run next year!?!?!?
