Holy Shizit - - 13.1 miles whaaaaaaaat...
The time has come - MOH and I will chilax, listen to ipod tunes (and live music every mile,) sweat, fight the pain, and complete our first Half Marathon - together!
A few months back MOH asked me if I was interested in running the Rock-N-Roll Half Marathon. Hold up, what – run 13.1 miles, seriously??? Lets think - we run the same pace, slow..we have done a mini triathlon before, and we're sisters = bonding. OK. After little (lol) contemplation I answered with a cheerful, sure (not too convincing, it was combined with panic and wtf am I doing!!!)

Thoughts - - Running 13.1 miles is a great personal goal (although it wasn’t on my goal list) and a nice wedding planning distraction. I have enjoyed getting back into running (I have always likes 3-4 mile neighborhood jogs) and mentally it has done wonders for me. It has calmed me down, offered alone time while getting into a zone, and most of all it has made me feel better about my physique.
This week I haven’t slept that well – I have taken more poops than normal – Thinking about the run makes my stomach feel as though there is a war going on, “come out running raider…” And I am currently missing one toe nail while another is black and blue. In all, this training process has been wonderful.

Natty – I am so excited to run 13.1 miles with you. Thank you for asking me to embark on this cardio journey. I can’t wait until it’s over, lol Remember if all else fails we’ll do it Dad’s style and shuffle shuffle shuffle across the finish line, haahaahaa
