Gifting

It didn’t take me long to figure out what I wanted to gift my gals ( I like the way that sounds…gift my gals!) Since it didn’t take long I have revisited my decision many times. That’s thing about wedding planning - If you make your mind up about something within x amount of time people are shocked.  You accept that shock, smile, and think to yourself, ‘it wasn’t that difficult!’ Then you’re secretly overcome with doubt.  Did I decide this too fast? Did I put enough thought into it? Is it personal enough? So on and so forth...

BM gifting is tough – that’s no lie.  There are butt loads of quintessential BM gifts and there was no effing way I was going that route.  That doesn’t mean I didn’t want to visit them to confirm my adamant decision to steer clear…Even though BM gifting is tough - gifting isn’t rocket science, because I made my decision quick does not mean that it lacks in personal touch.  My secret - - I took the title out of the purchase and lost the pressure.  I went from buying ‘bridesmaids gifts’ to buying ‘gifts.’

** Because my BM’s read my blog I won’t be sharing the details of their gifts. Instead, let’s see the awesome quintessential ones I chose to pass on…

There are lovely initial monogrammed canvas totes...PASS
Then there is jewelry...Being super picky with my own choice of jewelry, I could and would never expect someone to wear what my low budget wallet can afford..PASS

There are monogrammed albums...PASS (before pass barf...)

What do you think?  Would you pass on those too or would you love one from me, LOL

Now let’s look what Goose has in store for his men.  Before doing that lets talk about his gift ideas.  Goose also made up his mind pretty quickly. He was going to gift his men a 7 iron – A WHAT – yes, a golf club. I talked him out of it. I know how devilwoman of me, right? People, 3 of his men do not play golf, what are they going to do with a freakin’ 7 iron?  Moving right along – a flask – OK, but not personal enough and chances are the men have one already, so again, I shot that down…We (not we, me since I keep shutting down his gift ideas) began scouring the net for ideas as well as stores we frequent here in town.  So lets check out some options...

Goose really liked his ideas and I was being a bit devilwoman bridezilla on him so how about we combine the golf with the flask and gift his men this...
And what guy doesn't want to 'man their grill' so what about...
And then - - - there they were staring back at me...The most perfect gift for Goose's men...

Customized bobbleheads - Are these AWESOME or what?!?!?  Goose loves them.  We visited their site and they request a front and side (profile) picture for each face.  How in the name of god do we purchase a secret gift yet come up with front and side angles of our gm's faces.  Wait did I tell you that only 1 gm lives in the same state as us ARGH... My father always tells me that every problem has a solution - DAD, WHATS THE EFFING SOLUTION TO THIS!?!?!?

Have a great weekend =)
