Lot 22

A while back some married girlfriends gave me a, “things to do in the days leading up to the one” list.  They said:

• Have date night before the wedding day arrives.
• Try to go away for the weekend with your girlfriends.
• Turn off your phone / emails / TV for an entire night after work.
• If the crafts become too much, stop and continue the next day.
• Soak in a hot salted bath.

First on my list - conquering a weekend away with my MOH aka my sister.  Just us. 2 girls, closest of friends, bottles of wine, great books, music, dogs, and endless conversation. 

Welcome to Lot 22.

Located about 2 hours northeast of Seattle, MOH and BIL are almost finished, doesn’t it look fabulous?  It’s 15 seconds from the Wenatchee River and about 30 minutes from the ski slopes. Lot 22 was Host to our perfect girls weekend getaway. Now lets have a mini tour of the almost finished project.... 

Our Host room of entertainment. Cushy couch that hugged us as we enjoyed our books. And the fab high table that we decorated with a uber chic organic lazy susan.  

I had to post this kitchen for a couple of reasons. One, BIL built and installed the concrete counter tops.  Yes he is that good.  Two, in the lower right corner of the counter top you'll see the no. 22 - yup thats right, its a family thing and he added the touch perfectly. Subtle and classy, A+ BIL.  I can't forget to post our furguards....

We headed to town for a little Oktoberfest....

And shopping....

If I could give any bride to be a bit of advice – it would be to spend a weekend away with her girlfriend or girlfriends.  Just you and them. No phone. No internet. Wine. Music. Books. Great conversation.  And in the moment, be present.
