My Missing Person

Meet my Nonny – she passed on 4/12/07 and not a day goes by that I don’t think of her.

While planning my wedding I can’t help but wish Nonny was here to share this day with me.  Let me give you a little background. I am the youngest of 5.  I was the last to be Bat Mitzvah’d and I am the last to get married. I was the only grandchild that lived near Nonny for the 5 years before her passing. During those years we shared many lunches at Neiman’s Mariposa Room or Kate Mantilinis while Sunday brunches were spent enjoying Nate-N-Al’s 'soul food.'  We would chat about Hollywood gossip, movies, and day to day life.  It’s safe to say Nonny and I had the closest relationship amongst all the grandchildren.

Everyone got to share their special day with Nonny -  It isn’t fair that she'll miss mine.

There is always one significant person (if not more) missing from a special day.  And life isn’t always fair.  Nonny was the leader of our pack.  She and my Papa built my families foundation - it's a foundation we continue building and are extremely grateful for.

I have been thinking of ways to incorporate Nonny into our special day...And then it hit me, her tuna - its WICKED - we gotta have it!!!

I recently made it and Goose loved it!

You will love it too =)

**Always thinking of you Hot Stuff – Enjoy Enjoy, xoxo

  1. Thanks for sharing this about your Nonny. Sounds like a great lady and you were lucky to have her and your relationship for the 5 years you lived near her. Indeed she will be there in spirit!
