Unconventional BLING

I have never been one for surprises. I hate them yet, I love them. When it came time for an engagement ring there would be NO surprises – I knew what I wanted and I was gonna get it!

I wanted a ring that no one had ever seen nor will they see unless…it’s on me. When Goose and I had our ‘ring’ talk I told him immediately that I didn’t want him to give me a ring instead I wanted us to design a ring together.  He then told me that he didn’t want to propose empty handed - - - Why didn’t you say that in the first place…I told him exactly what I wanted and that is what I got – I’m his princess!!

Along with this GORG ‘proposal band’ I received a loose old mine cut diamond that belonged to Goose's great grandmother – Is your heart melting???  In honor of this diamond I educated myself about all things Art Deco Circa 1920’s; after all it’s from the early 1900’s.  I fell in love with all Art Deco rings, but I wanted my own I didn’t want an estate piece - - With an amazing jeweler and a little patience I now have this incredible modernized Art Deco inspired engagement ring…

She is worn on days I feel like a little more BLING, lol

I know this isn’t the regular route - - and you know what, I am so thankful for being honest right off the bat. I can’t imagine receiving a ring that Goose spent blood, sweat, and tears picking out only to learn I don’t love it.  That would crush anyone.  Be honest and be sure your man knows exactly what you want, no matter what route you take.  

I wouldn’t have had it any other way ;)
